so you think you can cook? Music Matbakh – Blurb!

Last night i witnessed one of the most compelling concerts\shows in music history! i mean, it’s really wonderful to see 2 artists jamming together, but when you fuse all those artists from all over the arab world and stick them in a room for four days to jam…that is some phenomenal stuff right there!!

Music Matbakh was held yesterday at 8:00 p.m. at Amanet Amman Theater, apart from the “expected – hello, you’re in Jordan” unexpected delay which lasted about 45 minutes, the show was flawless! among the musicians were Ya’qoub Abu-Ghosh “6-string bass” and Ruba Saqer “Acoustic Guitar and Vocals” from Jordan among a large number of others. i’ve always heard of Ruba, i heard her music on her myspace page, and i have heard Ya’qoub play live on many occasions…none of which even compares to what i saw and heard last night.

The musicians shared a mission, let’s all be one. because of that, they were able to actively portray their different musical styles and merge their instruments into one big collaborative effort which not only blew my mind, but literally tore me off my seat more times that i want to remember! i’m sure some people required adult diapers! now I’m not going to say much about the show right now cause i still have to work on the photos! i took about 120 photos, i only got three out in time to send to a Lebanese newspaper before my laptop battery died out! however, rest assured, you’ll be getting a whole lot of photos very soon. along with a very detailed review of their show!

Sit back and enjoy your time while i whip up something appropriate to describe their show sometimes tomorrow!!

Note: The photos are still unedited, so i apologize if they’re a little bit too dark, i tend to do that sometimes on purpose.
